Tepemeres 1 was the ruler of the Croats and father of Krasimer (PBE II): Const. Porph., DAI 31, 43ff. He is to be identified with Trpimir I, prince of the Dalmatian Croats from 845 to 864; cf. J. V. A. Fine, Jr., The Early Medieval Balkans (Ann Arbor, 1983).
