Taurinos 1 was deacon of the church of Telo (Toulon) in Gaul; as legate of a church council in Gaul, he was one of the Western ecclesiastics (probably the only one not a bishop) who attended the Council of Rome at Easter 680, and who subscribed the decree condemning monotheletism: Riedinger, p. 148, lines 13-15 (= Mansi XI 305-306) (Ταυρῖνος ἀνάξιος διάκονος τῆς ἁγίας ἐκκλησίας Ἀκλοένσου, λεγάτον τῆς σεβασμίας συνόδου τῆς ἐν τῇ χώρᾳ τῶν Γάλλων καθεστώσης; the old Latin version printed in Riedinger, p. 149, line 12 calls his see "sanctae ecclesiae Telonensis"). Cf. also Adeodatos 2 and Felix 4.
