Tarasios 2 was a patrikios (Ταράσιος ὁ πανεύφημος πατρίκιος); he delivered to the patriarch of Constantinople, Germanos I (Germanos 8), a letter from the bishop of Synnada, Ioannes 138, with information about the unnamed bishop of Nakoleia (Konstantinos 73): Mansi XIII 100 (the reply of Germanos 8 to Ioannes 138 was read out to the Seventh Ecumenical Council in 787). Germanos 8 was patriarch of Constantinople from 715 to 730.
