Symeon 25 donated a textile embroidered with scenes depicting Christ, a gift recorded in an epigram by Theodoros 15 (Theodore the Stoudite); the donation was possibly therefore to the Stoudite monastery; he was probably, though not certainly, a high ranking layman: Theod. Cf. Speck, Jamben, pp. 248-249.
