Symeon 17 was a spatharios (possibly basilikos protospatharios) and domestikos of the Scholai and ..sp. (?); owner of a seal dateable to the ninth or tenth century: Konstantopoulos, JIAN 6, 187. The name and titles read: The elements "basilikos proto" (β' α') are uncertain and Symeon may have been just spatharios.
