Stephanos 117 was koubikoularios and orphanotrophos; owner of two similar seals dateable to the late seventh century or the early eighth (probably to the time of the emperor Justinian II): Zacos and Veglery 1268a and b. Obv.: busts of Sts Peter and Paul, holding a long cross between them, with a bust of Christ in the upper centre. Rev.: [+]Κε βοηθη - [Σ]τεφανω - κουβικουλ - [α]ριω (καὶ) ορφ - ανοτρο - φω+. The text reads: Κύριε βοήθει Στεφάνῳ κουβικουλαρίῳ καὶ ὀρφανοτρόφῳ. For the date, see Zacos and Veglery, Seals, note ad loc..
