Stephanos 114 was a hypatos, basilikos spatharokandidatos and protostrator; owner of two similar seals dateable to the eighth century (Zacos and Veglery), possibly to the middle or late eighth century (the editors of Seyrig): Zacos and Veglery 2390 (= Seyrig 131), 2391. The name and titles read: Στεφάνῳ ὑπάτῳ βασιλικῷ σπαθαροκανδιδάτῳ καὶ πρωτοστράτορι. Zacos and Veglery considered it probable that the two seals belonged to one and the same person.
