Stephanos 102 was a basilikos spatharios and komes of the Lamia; owner of a seal dateable to the second half of the ninth century: Zacos II 895. Obv.: bust of Virgin with medallion of Child, with the legend +Θ(εοτό)κε βωηθη τωι σο δουλο. Rev.: + Στε - φανω βα' ς - παθαρηω - (καὶ) κωμητη - Λαμηας - αμην. The name and titles read: Στεφάνῳ βασιλικῷ σπαθαρίῳ καὶ κόμητι Λαμίας. For a similar seal, see Laurent, Corpus II, no. 401 (dated ninth century).
