Stephanos 69 was patrikios and doux; owner of a seal dateable to the eighth or ninth century: Schlumberger, Sig., p. 342 (= A. J. Sabatier, Sceaux et plombs titr s, no. 8). The text given by Schlumberger reads: Θεοτόκε βοήθει τῷ δούλῳ σοῦ Στεφάνῳ πατρικίῳ (καὶ) δουκί.
