Stephanos 54 was a strategos; owner of a seal dateable to the late eighth century: Tsougarakis, SBS 2, p. 148, no. 33 = Xanthoudides, "Boullai" I, p. 177, no. 4. Obv.: Bust of the Virgin with Christ. Rev.: Στεφάνου στρατηγοῦ. The seal was found at Gortyna in Crete.
