Stephanos 47 was hegoumenos of the monastery of Bonisoi; in 787 he was represented at the Second Council of Nikaia (the Seventh Ecumenical Council) by the monk Ioannes 133: Mansi XIII 156 (Ἰωάννης μοναχὸς καὶ ἐκ προσώπου Στεφάνου ἡγουμένου Βονισῶν; the Latin version, at XIII 155, reads "Ioannes monachus et ex persona Stephani hegumeni Bonisensium").
