Staurakios 23 was basilikos spatharios and komes of the korte of the Opsikion; owner of a seal dateable to the ninth century: DOSeals III 39. 40 = Zacos and Veglery 2381. Obv.: cruciform monogram of Θεοτόκε βοήθει, with τω - σω - δου - λω in the corners. Rev.: Σταβρ - ακ' β' σπα' - και κομ' τις κ' - του Οψι'. The name and titles read: Σταυρακίῳ βασιλικῷ σπαθαρίῳ καὶ κόμητι τῖς κόρτης τοῦ Ὀψικίου.
