Staurakios 8 was basilikos spatharios and eparchos of Thessalonike; owner of seals dateable between the mid-eighth century and the mid-ninth (Zacos and Veglery) or to the eighth or ninth century (Nesbitt and Oikonomides): DOSeals I 18.21a = Zacos and Veglery 2382a, DOSeals I 18. 21b = Zacos and Veglery 2382b. The two seals are from different boulloteria but probably belong to the same official. The first one reads: obv.: Θεοτόκε βοήθει τῷ σῷ δούλῳ; rev.: Σταυρακίῳ β(ασιλικῷ) σ[π]αθ(αρίῳ) (καὶ) ἐπάρ[χ()] Θεσαλ(ονίκης).
