Sisinnios 52 was formerly basilikos kourator of Tzouroullos (Thrace); Sisinnios 52 restored a monastery of Hagia Theotokos, probably at Herakleia in Thrace, where he was buried; his tombstone survives and gives the date of his death as 7 December 814 (ἐνθάδε κατάκητε ὡ - τῆς μακαρίας μνήμις - Σισίνις, γεναμέ(ν)ος β(ασιλικὸς) - κουράτορ Τζου(ρού)λου, ὡ (καὶ) - ἀνακένησας τὶν μον(ὴν) τ - ῆς ἁγήας Θεωτόκου: τ - ελεύτα δὲ μην(ὶ) δεκε - μβρήῳ ζ', ἠνδ(ι)κ(τιῶνος) ζ', - ἔτους ἀπὸ κτ(ίσεως) κόσμου Φτκβ' (i.e. 7 December, indiction 7, AM 6322, = 7 December 814): Sevcenko, "Sissinios", p. 564, n. 1 (a slab of white marble found at Herakleia in Thrace). The editor, Sevcenko, gives the date as "soon after Dec. 7, 813".
