Severus 2 was bishop of Qinnasrin in the mid seventh century, famous for his wisdom: Chron. 1234, ยง137 (p. 282) (recorded under the year 664; "at this time the bishop Severus Sebokht (S'wyr' S'bwkt) of Qinnasrin became known because of his wisdom, and Mattai(?) of Aleppo"), Mich. Syr. II 433. Michael the Syrian recorded his death later in the century: Mich. Syr. II 453.
