Sergios 89 was basilikos silentiarios and komes of Hieron; owner of a seal dateable to the eighth or ninth century (DOSeals), possibly to the second half of the eighth century (Zacos and Veglery): DOSeals III 81.3 = Zacos and Veglery 2358. Obv.: cruciform monogram of Χριστὲ βοήθει with τω - σω - δου - λω in the corners. Rev.: Σεργι - ω β' σελ' τ - και κομ' του - Ειερου. The name and titles read: Σεργίῳ βασιλικῷ σελεντιαρίῳ καὶ κόμητι τοῦ Ἱεροῦ.
