Saprites 1 was a stylite who is cited by Theodoros 15 (Theodore the Stoudite) in one of his sermons as a bad example; he fell into heresy and became an enemy of the Truth: Theod. Stud., Catech. Parv. 38 (p. 140 Auvray). He seems to have been dead when Theodoros 15 was writing, but when he lived is uncertain.
