Saperozan 1 was the owner of a seal dateable between the mid seventh century and the mid eighth: Zacos and Veglery 684 A. The text reads: Χριστέ, βοήθει Σαπεροζὰν τῷ σῷ οἰκέτῃ. Cf. also Sachperozan 1. The name is Iranian; cf. Justi, Iranisches Namenbuch s.n.. Since Saperozan and Sachperozan are Greek variants of the same name, it is possible that all the seals were in fact owned by one and the same person.
