Restoutos 1 was bishop of ecclesia Iubaltianensis in Byzacena; in 645/646 he subscribed the letter sent from the bishops of Byzacena to the emperor Constans asking him to persuade the patriarch of Constantinople, Paulos 2, to abandon the monothelete heresy; the letter was read out at the Lateran Council in October 649; in the list of signatures his name appears tenth: Conc. Lat., p. 77, line 26 ("Restutus dei misericordia episcopus sanctae ecclesiae Iubalidiensis"). For the identification of the see, by Maier, see Conc. Lat., p. 77, note.
