In or soon after AH 37 (Jun. 657/Jun. 658), when the Arabs were preparing for an expedition against Constantinople, Ptolemaios 1 (Ptolome'os) visited them (presumably as envoy) and made peace for three years, giving them a sum of gold: Bar Hebr., p. 99, Mich. Syr. II 446.
