Platon 2 was bishop of Kinna in Galatia Prima; he attended the Third Council of Constantinople (the Sixth Ecumenical Council) in 680 and 681 and was present at all eighteen sessions: Riedinger II 2. 18-826 (= Mansi XI 212-676). In the subscriptions to the statement of the faith, which condemned monotheletism, and to the Council, he is styled Πλάτων ἐλέει Θεοῦ ἐπίσκοπος τῆς Κιννηνῶν πόλεως τῆς πρώτης τῶν Γαλατῶν ἐπαρχίας (τῆς Κιννηνῶν πόλεως Γαλατίας πρώτης at Riedinger II 2. 826, line 16 (= Mansi XI 676)): Riedinger II 2. 788, line 20, 826, line 16 (= Mansi XI 648, 676). In the lists of those attending each session he is styled Πλάτωνος ἐπισκόπου Κίννης: Riedinger II 2. 18, line 5, 30, line 7, etc. (= Mansi XI 212, 220, etc.). At the eighth session (7 March 681) he declared his acceptance of the doctrine of Two Wills and Two Energies as set out in documents from pope Agatho 1 and the Roman Council: Riedinger II 2. 206, lines 6-10 (= Mansi XI 341-344).
