Photeinos 6 was an ekdikos, probably of the Church of Syracuse (where the seal was found); owner of a seal dateable to the seventh or eighth century: Laurent, Corpus V 1, 891. Obv.: invocative monogram of Θεοτόκε βοήθει. Rev.: + - Φο[τ]η - νου εκ - <δι>κου. Possibly identical with Photeinos 16 (whose seal may have been another specimen of this). Cf. also Photeinos 3.
