Petros 131 was a patrikios and the addressee of a letter from the patriarch Photius (Photios 1) written in answer to a theological query; a rich man, he received praise from Photius for the way in which he managed his wealth (τὸν πλοῦτον καλῶς οἰκονομῶν): Photius, Ep. 265 (II 211-217 Laourdas-Westerink) (addressed Πέτρῳ πατρικίῳ). The date of the letter is uncertain, between 859 and c. 880. According to a marginal note in two manuscripts (MSS Γ Θ) a copy of this letter was sent also to another unnamed addressee (τοῦτο καὶ πρὸς ἄλλον ἐγράφη); see Laourdas-Westerink II 211 app. crit. Cf. Anonymus 614.
