Petros 81 was apo hypaton and patrikios; owner of a seal dateable to the seventh century: Zacos and Veglery 455. The name and titles read: Πέτρῳ ἀπὸ ὑπάτων πατρικίῳ. Similar seals (see Zacos and Veglery, Seals, note to 455) were possibly owned by the same person; viz. Konstantopoulos, JIAN 6, 452, where the text also reads: Πέτρῳ ἀπὸ ὑπάτων πατρικίῳ; and Laurent, Orghidan 108, where the text reads: Πέτρῳ ἀπὸ ὑπάτων καὶ πατρικίῳ. According to Seibt (in Winkelmann, Rangstruktur, p. 34) he may be identical with Petros 82, because of similarities in their seals.
