Petros 50 was apo hypaton and genikos kommerkiarios of an apotheke whose name is lost; owner of a seal which bore two busts on each side, possibly those of the emperor Constans II (Konstans 1) and his three sons Konstantinos 2, Heraklios 1 and Tiberios 1: Ebersolt, "Sceaux byzantins", p. 229, no. 335. Obv.: two mutilated busts and the legend [Π]έτρου ἀπὸ ὑ[πάτ]ων καὶ γε[νικοῦ]. Rev.: [κομ]μερκιαρ[ίου ἀπ]ωθήκης .... If the busts are correctly identified, the date is mid seventh century, before 668.
