Petros 22 was deacon and notarios of the patriarch of Constantinople: Riedinger II 2. 42, lines 12-13, 286, line 19 (= Mansi XI 225, 392) (Πέτρος ὁ εὐλαβέστατος διάκονος καὶ νοτάριος τοῦ ἁγιωτάτου πατριάρχου Κωνσταντινουπόλεως or similar). At the third session of the Third Council of Constantinople (the Sixth Ecumenical Council) on 13 November 680, he read out to the Council the second volume of the Acts of the Fifth Ecumenical Council: Riedinger II 2. 42, lines 12-20 (= Mansi XI 225). At the tenth session (18 March 681) he received from the patriarchal archive (skeuophylakion) a volume of authentic texts from the Fathers (τὸ αὐθεντικὸν βιβλίον τοῦ σκευοφυλακίου ὑπάρχον τῆς ἐνταῦθα ἁγιωτάτης μεγάλης ἐκκλησίας ἐν σώμασιν ἀργυρένδετον, cf. Riedinger II 2. 288, line 14 (= Mansi XI 393) τοῦ σκευοφυλακίου βιβλίου) for comparison with citations produced by the papal representatives from Rome: Riedinger II 2. 286, lines 18-23 (= Mansi XI 392). The volume contained works of pope Leo the Great, Ambrose of Milan and Augustine of Hippo; cf. Riedinger II 2. 288, 336-338 (= Mansi XI 393, 421, 424).
