Petros 19 was bishop of Mesembria in Haemimontos; in 681 he attended the Third Council of Constantinople (the Sixth Ecumenical Council) and was present at the last eight sessions (sessions eleven to eighteen, from 20 March to 16 September): Riedinger II 2. 404-825 (= Mansi XI 457-674). In the subscriptions to the Council he is styled Πέτρος χάριτι τοῦ Θεοῦ ἐπίσκοπος Μεσημβρίας Θρᾴκης: Riedinger II 2. 825, line 11 (= Mansi XI 673). In the subscriptions to the statement of the faith, which condemned monotheletism, he is styled Πέτρος χάριτι Χριστοῦ τοῦ Θεοῦ ἡμῶν ἑπίσκοπος τῆς Μεσημβρινῶν πόλεως τῆς Ἑμιμοντίων ἐπαρχίας: Riedinger II 2. 796, lines 5-6, cf. II 2. 894, line 10 (= Mansi XI 653, cf. 693). The old Latin version calls his see "ciuitatis Mesembrinorum Hemimontis regionis": Riedinger II 2. 797, line 5 (= Mansi XI 654). His name also appears in the old Latin version of the subscriptions to the faith at Mansi XI 646; both here and in the Latin version of the subscriptions to the Council he is styled "Petrus gratia Dei nostri episcopus Mesembriae civitatis": Mansi XI 646, 674 (but cf. Riedinger II 2. 796-797, lines 5-6 and 825, line 11). In the lists of those attending each session he is styled Πέτρου ἐπισκόπου Μεσημβρίας: Riedinger II 2. 404, line 2, 518, line 11, etc. (= Mansi XI 457, 520, etc.). He was among the signatories to the copy of the definition of the faith sent to the bishop of Rome, Agatho 1: Riedinger II 2. 894, line 10 (= Mansi XI 693). His name occurs in the list of bishops printed in Riedinger II 2. 738, line 5 (= Mansi XI 696).
