Paulos 63 was metropolitan bishop of Nikaia; owner of a seal dateable to the eighth or ninth century (see Nesbitt and Oikonomides, DO Seals III, p. 108, note; rather than to the late seventh century or the early eighth, as Zacos and Veglery): DOSeals III 59.11 = Zacos and Veglery 1348. Obv.: Virgin standing, holding the Child, and on either side monograms of Θεοτόκε and βοήθη. Rev.: cruciform monogram of Παυλω with a circular inscription reading: +μητροπολ..η Νικαιας. The name and title read: Παύλῳ μητροπολίτῃ Νικαίας.
