Patrikios 2 was bishop of Magnesia ad Maeandrum in Asiana; in 681 he attended the Third Council of Constantinople (the Sixth Ecumenical Council) and was present at the last eight sessions (sessions eleven to eighteen, from 20 March to 16 September): Riedinger II 2. 404-826 (= Mansi XI 457-676). In the subscriptions to the statement of the faith, which condemned monotheletism, and to the Council, he is styled Πατρίκιος ἐλέει Θεοῦ ἐπίσκοπος τῆς Μαγνητῶν πρὸς τῷ Μεάνδρῳ πόλεως τῆς Ἀσιανῶν ἐπαρχίας: Riedinger II 2. 788, line 5, 826, line 7 (= Mansi XI 648, 676). The old Latin version printed in Riedinger calls his see "Magnetis iuxta Meandrum ciuitatis Asiane regionis": Riedinger II 2. 789, line 5 (= Mansi XI 647, 675). In the lists of those attending each session he is styled Πατρικίου ἐπισκόπου Μαγνησίας: Riedinger II 2. 404, line 26, 518, line 17, etc. (= Mansi XI 457, 520, etc.). Still bishop of Magnesia in 692, he attended the Quinisext Council in Constantinople and signed the canons: Ohme, Bischofsliste, p. 153, no. 73 (= Mansi XI 993) (Πατρίκιος ἀνάξιος ἐπίσκοπος τῆς Μαγνητῶν Πρωτομαιανδρουπόλεως τῆς Ἀσιανῶν ἐπαρχίας).
