Olbianos 2 was basilikos spatharios and strategos of Macedonia; owner of a seal dateable to the early ninth century, see below: DOSeals I 43.31. Obv.: Θεοτόκε βοήθει τῷ σ[ῷ] δούλῳ. Rev.: [Ὀ]λβια[ν]ῷ β(ασιλικῷ) σπαθ(αρίῳ) [(καὶ)] στρα(τηγῷ) Μακεδον(ίας). Nesbitt and Oikonomides, DO Seals I, p. 121, date this seal to the early ninth century and suggest that the owner was the later strategos of the Armeniakoi under Michael II (Michael 10) (Olbianos 3).
