Niketas 165 was basilikos kandidatos and protonotarios of the Optimatoi; owner of a seal dateable to the ninth or tenth century: DOSeals III 71. 30. Obv.: cross on steps, with a circular inscription reading: +Κε βοηθη τω σω δο.... Rev.: +Νικιτα - β' κανδιδ' - και α' νοτ' τ - ..Οπτιμ'. The name and titles read: Νικίτᾳ βασιλικῷ κανδιδάτῳ καὶ πρωτονοταρίῳ τῶν Ὀπτιμάτων.
