Niketas 163 was hegoumenos of the monastery of Chrysopolis; he is named by pope Nicolas I (Nikolaos 28) in a letter to the emperor Michael III as one of the supporters of the patriarch Ignatios (Ignatios 1): Nicolaus I, Ep. 86 (PL 119, 956B).
