Niketas 87 was basilikos kandidatos and protonotarios of the Aigaion Pelagos; owner of a seal dateable to the second half of the ninth century: Zacos II 1080. Obv.: cruciform monogram of Θεοτόκε βοήθει with τω - σω - δου - λω in the corners. Rev.: [Ν]ικητα β' - [κα]νδιδ' (καὶ) α' ν - [ο]ταριου του α - [ιγα]ιου πελαγ. The name and titles read: Νικήτᾳ βασιλικῷ κανδιδάτῳ καὶ πρωτονοταρίῳ τοῦ Αἰγαίου Πελάγους.
