Niketas 83 was synkellos and chartoularios of the orphanotropheion of Ionopolis; owner of a seal of uncertain date, possibly ninth or tenth century: Konstantopoulos, JIAN 9, 159b. The name and titles read: Νηκήτᾳ συγκέλλῳ καὶ χαρτουλαρίῳ τοῦ ὀρφανοτροφί[ου] τοῦ Ἰωνοπόλεως. Ionopolis was in Paphlagonia.
