Niketas 64 was bishop of Silva Candida ("Nicetas episcopus de Silva Candida"); in 710 he was one of the retinue which set out from Rome on 5 October to accompany pope Constantine (Konstantinos 136) on his visit to Constantinople: Lib. Pont. 90. 3. He accompanied the party to Naples, Sicily, Regium and Croton, but died at Callipolis (in South Italy, between Croton and Hydruntum): Lib. Pont. 90. 4.
