Niketas 56 was bishop of the city of Rhizaion; owner of a seal dateable to the seventh century: Laurent, Corpus V 1, no. 496. Obv.: Virgin and Child between invocative monograms of Θεοτόκε and βοήθει. Rev.: square monogram of uncertain resolution, either Ἰωάννῃ ἐπισκόπῳ or Νικήτᾳ ἐπισκόπῳ, with the legend πόλεος τοῦ Ριζέου.
