Niketas 49 was spatharokandidatos; owner of a seal dateable perhaps to the ninth or tenth century: Ebersolt, "Sceaux byzantins", p. 400, no. 517. Obv.: bust of St Georgios. Rev.: invocative formula in the name of the Lord, and the legend Νικήτας σπαθαροκανδιδᾶτος.
