Niketas 37 was hypatos, basilikos spatharios and eparchos of Thessalonike; owner of a seal dateable to the eighth century: DOSeals I 18.20 = Zacos and Veglery 957. Obv.: Ἁγία Τριάς, ὁ Θ[(εὸ)σ] ἡμῶν βοήθη τῷ σῷ δούλῳ. Rev.: Νικήτᾳ ὑπάτῳ βα(σιλικῷ) σπαθ(αρίῳ) κ(αὶ) ἐπάρχῳ Θεσαλονίκης. Cf. Niketas 113.
