Niketas 36 was notarios and abydikos of Thessalonike; owner of a seal dateable to the eighth century: DOSeals I 18.8 = Zacos and Veglery 2249. Obv.: Θεοτόκε βοήθει [τ]ῷ σῷ δούλῳ. Rev.: Νικήτ[] νοταρίῳ (καὶ) ἀβυδικῷ Θεσσα[λ]ον(ίκης). Nesbitt and Oikonomides describe the epigraphy as "very archaic".
