Nikephoros 29 was protonotarios of Sicily; owner of a seal dateable to the ninth century: Schlumberger, Sig., p. 215, note 2 from p. 214, no. 13 (from Salinas, "Sigilli diplomatici"). The text as given by Schlumberger reads: Θεοτόκε βοήθει (in cruciform monogram) τῷ σῷ δούλῳ Νικηφόρῳ (πρωτο)νοτ(αρίῳ) Σικ(ελίας). Cf. Winkelmann, Rangstruktur, p. 123.
