Nikephoros 18 was bishop of Arkadiopolis in Asia; in 787 he attended the Second Council of Nikaia (the Seventh Ecumenical Council); he is attested only at the seventh session, on 13 October 787, where he is styled, in the list of those present at the session, Νικηφόρου ἐπισκόπου Ἀρκαδιουπόλεως: Mansi XIII 373. At the seventh session he subscribed the statement of the faith adopted by the Council and is styled Νικηφόρος ἀνάξιος ἐπίσκοπος Ἀρκαδιουπόλεως: Mansi XIII 388.
