Nasir 1 was basilikos spatharios and tourmarches of the Phoideratoi; owner of two seals dateable to the first half of the eighth century: Zacos and Veglery 3148a and b. The name and titles read: Νάσιρ βασιλικῷ σπαθαρίῳ καὶ τουρμάρχῃ τῶν Φοιδεράτων. The spelling of the name Nasir is not certain, but it presumably represents the Arabic name Nasr. If so, the owner of this seal was possibly an Arab who turned Christian and entered Roman service.
