Myron 3 was the addressee of a letter from Theodoros 15 (Theodore the Stoudite) written between 815 and 818, praising him for his adherence to orthodoxy (i.e. for supporting the veneration of icons) and for giving shelter to Stoudite monks suffering persecution from the iconoclasts; he is styled τῇ θεοσεβείᾳ σου: Theod. Stud., Ep. 259 (addressed Μύρωνι). Possibly a person of high rank; cf. Fatouros, p. 307*, n. 560.
