Moses 4 was an argyroprates; joint-owner with Thomas 36, also argyroprates, of a seal dateable between the mid eighth century and the mid ninth: Zacos and Veglery 2209B. The names and title probably read: Μωσῇ καὶ Θωμᾷ ἀργυροπράταις. The reading of the text on this seal is not certain and the owner may have been one person called Moses Thomas, according to Zacos and Veglery ad loc.; if so the text would have read: Μωσῇ Θωμᾷ ἀργυροπράτῃ. They support their suggestion by noting the similarities between this seal and that owned by Moses 3; both seals have no channel through which a cord was supposed to be threaded. Cf. however Thomas 50.
