Michael 123 was patrikios, possibly anthypatos, and strategos of Sicily; owner of a seal dateable to the ninth or tenth century: Laurent, "Sceaux" II, p. 432, no. 4. The name and titles (partly restored) read: Μιχ[αὴλ] πατρ(ίκιος) [ἀνθύ](πατος), στ[ρατη]γ(ὸς) Σικ(ελίας). The title which is missing between patrikios and strategos, is probably anthypatos; cf. Winkelmann, Rangstruktur, pp. 87, 89. See also Michael 26 and 136.
