Michael 85 was basilikos protospatharios and strategos of the Opsikion; owner of a seal dateable to the second half of the ninth century: Zacos II 850. Obv.: nimbate bust of bearded bishop, in liturgical vestments, blessing and holding Gospel; circular inscription κ(ύρι)ε βοηθ' τω σω δουλ'. Rev.: +Μηχα - ηλ β' α' σπ - αθαρ' (και) στ - ρ'τιγ' του - οψικη. The name and titles read: Μιχαὴλ βασιλικῷ πρωτοσπαθαρίῳ καὶ στρατηγῷ τοῦ Ὀψικίου.
