Michael 67 was protospatharios and taxiarchos (possibly of the Pharos); owner of a seal dateable perhaps to the eighth or ninth century (so Laurent), tenth, eleventh or twelfth (so Schlumberger), or ninth or tenth (so Konstantopoulos); possibly ninth or tenth century; the word which may read "Pharos" could be the family name (see below): Laurent, "Sceaux" III, 53 = Schlumberger, Sig., 370 = Konstantopoulos, JIAN 6, 224. The name and titles read: Μηχαὴ[λ] πρωτοσπα[θ]αρίῳ καὶ ταξιάρχῳ τῷ Φάρῳ (so Laurent; Konstantopoulos read the last word as, perhaps, [Π]άχῃ). The last word was perhaps a family name rather than part of his titles.
