Michael 53 was a priest; he was one of the retinue which accompanied pope Constantine (Konstantinos 136) on his visit to Constantinople in 710: Lib. Pont. 90. 3 (presbyterus). The party left Rome on 5 October 710, and returned to Rome on 24 October 711: Lib. Pont. 90. 3 and 7. He was presumably a priest at Rome.
