Michael 47 was hypatos, silentiarios and chartoularios of the basilikon vestiarion; owner of a seal dateable to the eighth or ninth century: Schlumberger, Sig., p. 603, no. 9 (facsimile). Obv.: invocative monogram of Χριστὲ βοήθει (apparently Laurent, type XIV) with the legend Μιχαηλ in the upper quarters and υπατω in the lower. Rev.: + σιλε - [ν]τιαριω - [χα]ρτουλαρ - [ι]ω του βασιλ - [ι]κου βεστ - [ι]αριου.
