Michael 46 was basilikos strator; owner of two similar seals dateable between the mid eighth and the mid ninth century: Zacos and Veglery 2205, Schlumberger, Sig., p. 597, no. 6 (facsimile). Obv.: invocative monogram of Κύριε βοήθει with the legend τω - σω - δου - λω. Rev.: + Μ - [ι]χαηλ - [β(ασιλικῷ) ] στρατ - ορι. The name and title read: Μιχαὴλ βασιλικῷ στράτορι.
